Weekend Thoughts

Limits suck. End of Rant.

And on to more insightful things...

I was reading an article on boundless as well as a response to the article on boundless. The article was entitled "The Seduction of Pornography".. I'm too lazy to link it...so Google is your friend. Anyways, the main theme of the article I don't really care to comment on... what startled me was the thought voiced in the response...that the female form as portrayed in society IS AN IDOL. I never pictured it like that. Guys want it and girls want to be it. And everything is hyped up about it and over-sexualized. We're talking about it more..which is good...but what would be better is to develop a true biblical stance on it...and voice that. That would be awesome.

In other news...was at Sunday School today. After watching a video on evangelism and the global Christian fight, we had discussion questions. Our group went to another room... and I felt abnormally talkative (I did pray to God to be more useful in Church..so maybe this was the answer.). We were talking about the video "The Harvest" or something like that... and how we can go about being useful in our local church. A lot of the people in our group...we don't know what our church is doing, myself included. That is a big problem. I gave general encouragement to be more involved...but yeah, I have to get more involved myself.

So I come to this crossroad...I care about the people around me in my church. But, I also feel sometimes we aren't following true Biblical Christianity. Like we make compromises here and there... so I might be making it out to be more than it is.... but I will follow what I understand as the authentic Jesus. So....if I come to a point where I know someone who is "leading" the church, a group, or whatever in a direction not towards Christ... I will call them out... and you should too.
