Although it is a social paper hosted on a Catholic website, this paper outlines many problems with the female-headed household. Another vote for Biblical headship. :)

I have read the article. Some of my thoughts: If the author is to purport the whole "if woman run the world argument", the burden of proof is on him. Why? Because, the world has always been run by men... and sadly there is no other world to run an opposing experiment. He should cite some sources. An MIT study would be good if it had a link. Pew Research Survey doesn't cut it for me.
Also, randomly throwing out "facts", such as the failing healthcare system, financial tsunami, and bailouts as fault exclusively to men is just dishonest. Yes, men were at the helm. But, these dishonest businessmen are there to make money and serve themselves... which they did superbly. And females have their part in this mess, as well. What of the credit-default swap? Inventor: Blythe Masters, a woman.
Furthermore, I throw out to you...
If people believe the wage gap myth (females make 60-80% less than men)... why is there no female-only companies out there saving a ton on employee wages?
As stated in The Garbage Generation, males are unproductive in a female-headed household. If you have women running the world, where do you expect to get the 98% of all inventions created by men?
Finally, you have to counter Scripture. The whole helpmeet role for the female in Genesis 2. (As for why a "Christian" website is posting up this tripe, I have no idea.)
Do not be mistaken. Men and women each have their roles as outlined in Scripture. We are equal before God, and are to treat one another equally (with the exception of specific duties as per Scripture). I am really tired of these "studies" that suggest women are better than men in 1,000,000 ways. If this were so, we could eliminate laws like VAWA, affirmative action, quotas, etc.
Looking it over, it's an opinion piece. He is entitled to his, as I am entitled to my own. In the end, what will matter is who's opinion is more in line with what God has said.
